BASW’s Code of Ethics first adopted in 1975, has been revised and updated on several occasions.
The 2021 revision incorporates the Global Social Work: Statement of Ethical Principles, agreed by the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) and the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) in 2018.
